As much as love weed,Smoking weed is big fucking trend now to many stupid teens smoking like there so bad no wonder it a illegal, but just imagine if it is legal
December 15th, 2009 at 2:07 pm
a lot of people would be High & The U.S. would be a lot better place then if they legalized it.
December 15th, 2009 at 2:48 pm
I dont think they should
but i dont smoke that shit anymore
But if they did legalize it, i bet some
people will quit because the dealers
will start to compete with the stores
who sell it so the price will go way up.
and yes if its legalized, people will
probably open stores selling marijuana.
December 15th, 2009 at 3:16 pm
A bunch of state governments would still make it illegal.
December 15th, 2009 at 3:53 pm
wow, what would the world be coming to?…for real..we don’t need drugs around the kids of America..there is enough around them as is.
December 15th, 2009 at 4:17 pm
i thought california was legal with marijuna
December 15th, 2009 at 5:02 pm
more people would smoke and there would be more peace and less gang violence. there are also downsides for it but mostly positive.
December 15th, 2009 at 5:39 pm
Chances are I’d lose more friends.
F*#&ing pot. People start smoking it then that becomes their life.
December 15th, 2009 at 6:18 pm
The prisons would be less congested
There would be less drug-related violence
Given they tax it, more money
December 15th, 2009 at 6:22 pm
there are pros and cons. good for the potheads and drug dealers and bad for the police due to d.u.i. and little kids being more threatened by potheads driving high so basically it will create more havoc. more than its worth
December 15th, 2009 at 6:47 pm
*cough
What?
December 15th, 2009 at 7:44 pm
no change.people would have a huge problem at first, but they will get over it.so many people do already anyway
December 15th, 2009 at 8:16 pm
There are positives and negatives to this…
1. The government could tax the hell out of it and therefore help with the economic downfall and whatnot.
2. People are going to smoke pot anyway..why not make a profit off of it?
3. I would prefer to not be around tons of stoned fools all the time, even though I guess I may be anyway and just don’t know it.
4. Debbie snacks would sell tons!!!!!
..ok there are tons of arguements for both sides,..I just can’t think of them at this time =) heh.

I think it would be Better of they Legalize it
December 15th, 2009 at 9:39 pm
One things for sure, the Mexican cartels that are responsible for growing and trafficking will be out of business…so they will just branch out. That could mean more meth, more coke, more black tar hitting the streets. It is a moot point because public opinion polls as well as the results of many propositions to decriminalize weed all say that the majority of voter do not want weed legalized–not even for medical purposes.
December 15th, 2009 at 9:59 pm
The government could collect more taxes!
December 15th, 2009 at 10:15 pm
Drug cazed masses wielding torches and pitchforks thronging in the streets, burning cars and dragging good folk from their homes.

These are my 8 reasons why marijuana should be legalized. Feel free to publish this information freely. You see, nobody has given any logical arguments as to why it should stay illegal.

I don’t smoke, but I definitely think it should be legal, provided that it is regulated like alcohol (no minors, and no driving).
It makes absolutely no sense that cannabis is illegal while alcohol and tobacco (both of which are MORE harmful and MORE addictive) are legal.
Legalization would:
- Create thousands of jobs
- Deal a massive blow to drug cartels, which would suddenly be without 75% of their current income
- Provide an enormous windfall for the government, which would bring in billions in taxes and SAVE billions more in law enforcement (ending Prohibition played a big part in getting the U.S. out of the Great Depression)
- Allow police, courts and prisons to focus their resources on DANGEROUS criminals, rather than potheads
December 16th, 2009 at 12:14 am
the world would be screwed up and we would see and have alot more dealers
December 16th, 2009 at 12:29 am
I don’t smoke marijuana but it would be more manageable by the government and it would loose all appeal to drug dealers. Prisoners would be a lot less violent. Frankly, cigarettes are just as destructive and addictive and they cause anxiety due to the stimulating affect of nicotine whereas marijuana has more of a relaxing affect. Frankly I never heard of anyone high on only marijuana going crazy and doing something crazy strictly due to the affects of marijuana unless they have other mental issues. When something is illegal its far more easy to get, more expensive to control and a lot more dangerous to consume. If it is legalized some of the mind altering affects could even be chemically minimized and the ingredients could be regulated. And I agree that the drug cartels would be delt a serious blow. They would begin to turn on each other for the remaining illegal substances. Just remember what happened during prohibition. That’s the same reason that alchohol was re-legalized even though alchohol users can be more dangerous than marijuana users when driving. I’ve never heard of a mariajuana DUI or fatal car accident due strickly marijuana usage.

the government would have more money from taxes and the prison system wouldnt be overcrowded and will have people who actually commit crimes and not people who smoke
December 16th, 2009 at 1:50 am
what do you think would happen if the government legalize Alcohol…?
December 16th, 2009 at 2:22 am
It would be much better. We would be wasting less money on inmates. We would not be ruining the lives of people because of a personal choice they have chosen to make.
The Drug Cartels would not be profiting off of marijuana anymore. This would cause violence related to the cartels to lessen.
There would be way less Havoc.

I think the U.S. would be in fact, better of if marijuana was legalized. It would so much good.
First, it would increase our economy’s revenue. That’s why the government would tax the hell out of it.
Second, the government would save so much money. They spend so much for drug enforcement. It’s ridiculous how much money is spent just to end up catching one drug lord. Especially when more and more pop up every day.
Third, the nation would gain immediate and
long-term benefits. This change in the law would greatly improve the
quality of life for many people. Victims of glaucoma would find marijuana easily available.
Fourth, thousands of the drug dealers would be put out business and a secret part of the economy would be shown. The crime rate would probably go down as well, just because of the fact that there would be less people getting killed in drug deals gone bad.
The most important gain would be in the quality of government.
The sorts of temptations and opportunities that lead to corruption
would be significantly minimized
Therefore, I do think that the lift of the marijuana ban would do the US economy good.
December 16th, 2009 at 3:48 am
it would be ead expensive and the crime rate will increase
December 17th, 2009 at 7:55 pm
It would be controlled by the government, which would make it weaker and more expensive. I dont want politicians telling me a thc content allowed by them. but on the other hand if alcohol is legal, which turn poeple into idiots why should i be scared of arrest relaxing and toking in my on home. also if you think its a drug you are dumb. its a plant
