Do you think we should legalize marijuana for medical uses only?
legalize marijuana January 28th, 2010I am trying to do a survey on if we should legalize marijuana for medical uses. Some people who have Crones Disease have claimed that the use of marijuana under supervision of marijuana has helped relieve there stomach pains caused by Crones. I would like to see if anyone would agree or disagree. Any answers would be great

definitely. full legalization for medical purposes as soon as possible. general decriminalization as soon after that as possible. pot relieves a lot of different ailments. the drug companies don’t like it. the booze makers don’t like it. so, it’s a ways off. however the new attorney general has said that they will look into legalizing for medical purposes.
it’s a ridiculous law.

Yes we should legalize the use of marijuana/pot for medical uses. Even though the use of this plant is dangerous to ones health, it does help the user if they have Crones. My father has is and uses it with a valid doctors note allowing him to. I would thing that we should vote no on pot for recreational use. It would not be an important reason to vote on a law for and just would harm too many people in ways that are bad. I say legalize pot for medical uses only.

You know Heroin is even better at relieving pain. We should all jump on that train as well.

I’d be willing to legalize it period on one condition. That the FDA regulate the amount of THC in all weed imported, or grown in this country. I’ve never known anyone who was high on just weed go out, and commit armed robbery just to get more weed. You can’t even say the same in regards to Alcohol.

Yes!
I dont like it myself but have had freinds who do and I see no-reason for it being banned… The states could tax it! That way it would be xtra Revenue for states that need the money… Even if it was Leagle, you set limits on it like you do with alcohol….

Legalize it completely, but under highly controlled circumstances. Allow people with document medical condition to grow their own medicine in limited numbers. It’s illegal to keep black market very black in profits.

Yea definitely. Then clinical research can be finally done saying that cannabis can treat bipolar disorder. It’s the only thing that works for me, and I don’t need to be on 6 different meds that some treat the symptoms of the others. It’s just bs. I stopped smoking for a year and my life went downhill (from the mood swings). But yet, don’t people who like to use biased documentations and myths say the opposite effect on marijuana? Use it and your life goes downhill? I went from honors student in college pulling 3.8 gpa smoking every day just about to on disability and FULL of anxiety. . .. hmmmm. . . : )

Yes. There have been studies that have even shown cannabinoids to slow the growth of cancer cells…the true medicinal quality of marijuana hasn’t been fully explored yet, but it’s been shown to decrease nausea and chronic pain, as well as increase appetite for people who have cancer, AIDS, glaucoma and a slew of many other conditions.
This site has a full list of ailments medical marijuana has been shown to help:
